That being said, you want to carry clothes that are ‘versatile’, and allow you to mix and match. Not forgetting to mention, the items of clothing you cannot do without!
Note: When packing clothing, it would be prudent to follow the 5-4-3-2-1 rule. This refers to ‘5 tops, 4 bottoms, three accessories, two pairs of shoes and one swimming suit.’

The last thing we want is to fall sick on vacation! Luckily for us, most of these ‘illnesses’ are nothing short of being temporary setbacks that can be alleviated with some potent medication.
Note: You want to ensure that all the medicines you carry go into a designated ‘medicine box’.
Tip: Besides medicines, you want to also pack some ‘first aid’ essentials, like bandages, into this box of ‘emergency essentials’.
These items are just as important as all of the items listed above. When you go on a trip, you don’t want to forget the following Travel Essentials.
Travel Tips: Cool Tips for the Packing List that every Traveller should know
By now you have a good idea of all the items you need to pack, before embarking on your next trip. That being said, you want to keep in mind the following tips, when working on that Travel Packing LIst.
- Roll your Clothes instead of Folding them
- Keep Important Medicines in your purse
- Check the Weather at your destination
- Give your Luggage a Unique Identification Tag
- Get a Smaller Bag
When you ‘roll’ your clothes, you will find that they can easily fit into even the tiniest of crevices.
The thing about medication is, one never knows when they might need it. Forget not ‘checking’ in that prescription medicine, you don’t even want it packed into the bag that goes in the overhead bin on the airplane! Keep it in your purse, for easy access.
It’s not a bad idea to check out the weather at the destination you’re heading towards. There might be a cold wave that your travel agent forgot to tell you about. That’s when all that winter clothing will rightfully find its way into your bag!
It’s not uncommon for people to take someone else’s bag off the luggage belt, thinking it belongs to them. Avoid the same happening to you, by marking your bag with a distinctive sticker.
Last but not the least, you really do want a smaller bag. If there is anything that will ensure that you travel light, this one’s it!
At EuroKids we cannot stress enough the importance of travelling light. That being said, the trick lies in packing ‘smart’. Use the tips and packing advice outlined in this article, to create that Travel Checklist for your upcoming vacation!
